¡Hola! My name is Jodi Steimel and I teach Spanish to Kindergarten through 5th grade students at Martell, Wattles, Schroeder, Costello, and Leonard. I have been a part of the Troy School District for 10 years as a Kindergarten and Spanish Teacher. I enjoy my work as a teacher because I am passionate about sharing language and culture with young children.
I received my B.A. in Spanish and Elementary Education from Grand Valley State University. I received a M.A. in English as a Second Language from the University of Michigan Dearborn.
Outside of school, I love spending time with my husband Chris, our 6 yr. old son, Andy, and our dog, Magglio. I enjoy exercising, making cards, camping, going for walks, and watching the Detroit Tigers.
*If you are interested in supplementing your child's Spanish education, please visit Bright Loritos which is a language school in Troy.
