Week 7: 3rd grade plans

WEEK 7: MAY 4TH-8TH

This week you will be creating a clothing ad for a make-believe store to show what you've learned.
  1. Start by deciding what kind of store you would like to create. It can be themed (like a sports store, beach clothing store, accessories store, etc.)
  2. Choose how you will advertise your clothing. (See examples below) Here are a few ideas:
    1. Using PowerPoint or Keynote, create a presentation with a different clothing item on each slide
    2. Create a full page ad using your favorite drawing app
    3. Get permission from your parents to cut clothing items out of magazines and create your ad on a scrap sheet of paper
    4. Draw everything by hand on a piece of paper
    5. Find your own way to advertise/display your items
  3. Choose a minimum of four clothing items your store will carry.
  4. Make sure each clothing item has the following:
    1. An image (drawn, photographed, or found online)
      • ***Show integrity with your online searches. Remember, just because you are at home does NOT mean your school can't see what you are looking up.
    2. Its name in Spanish
    3. The price
  5. Give your store a name and send your finished advertisement to your Spanish teacher.
  6. Bonus: Use a currency exchange website to determine how much each item would cost in $USD, Spanish euros (€), and Mexican pesos ($MEX)

Our clothing vocabulary is below if you need to review it.

This might take you more than one day to complete. That is OKAY. You are allowed to work on this next week if you need it.

If you're having trouble getting started, check out the magazine examples at the bottom of this page.
